Hydrant Flushing Scheduled In Point Pleasant
Hydrant flushing is set to begin next week in Point Pleasant, officials said.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Point Pleasant Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout the borough, officials announced.
The flushing will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and is expected to continue for six weeks.
"Residents can expect discolored water during this time," officials said. "The discoloration will clear up as we move out of your area. Please refrain from washing clothes until your water runs clear."

The hydrant flushing allows the water department to check the function of the hydrants and also flushes the water mains to maintain the best water quality, the water department said.
