Hydrant Flushing Set In Point Pleasant Beach

The flushing, which helps clear sediment out of pipes, will be done during the day only on weekdays.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Water Department will be flushing hydrants in the borough beginning Oct. 24, the borough announced Wednesday.

The flushing will be conducted during the day, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays only and will continue through Nov. 18, officials said.

Residents may experience temporary low pressure or discoloration while flushing is being done.

"This is part of our continuing effort to deliver the best water quality possible," officials said. "We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation."
