Memorial Scholarship Dinner And Gift Auction Set For Friday

The second annual "Friday Night Out" event in memory of Michael Stacy

POINT PLEASANT — Point Pleasant won't soon forget Michael Stacy.

The popular crew chief of the Point Pleasant High School Competition Band died too soon in 2010.

But every year since the The Michael Stacy Memorial Scholarship Foundation has hosted a golf tournament and "Friday Night Out" dinner his memory to raise money for the scholarship named after him.

This year, the dinner and a gift auction will be held on April 15 at the Crystal Point Yacht Club. The dinner and auction will begin at 7:30 p.m., according to the Foundation's Facebook page.

Proceeds will go to the scholarship fund and awarded to graduating seniors who participated in the competition marching band or color guard.

The event - which runs from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. includes appetizers, a buffet dinner, beer, wine, live music and a gift auction.

There are Gold Level [$500], Silver Level [$250] and Bronze Level [$100] sponsorships available to support this event and provide for student scholarships. Rooms can be reserved at The Crystal Point by calling 732-295-7000.
