New Overnight Parking Rules In Point Beach On The Way

Borough attorney hopes to avoid any new lawsuits.

One more time.

The Point Pleasant Beach Council has adopted a new ordinance that spells out when and where residents, business owners and visitors may park overnight in the borough, according to app.com.

A previous ordinance allowed only residents and business owners with permits from parking in the busiest section of town between 12:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. from May 15 to Sept. 15. That didn’t sit well with many business owners, who sued the borough because it was difficult to attract customers and impacted employees.
