New Speed Limits In Place On Some Point Pleasant Roads

The changes affect some main roads and are permanent.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Drivers traveling in Point Pleasant are warned that the speed limit has been lowered on two roads in the borough.

Point Pleasant police issued an alert Monday warning that the speed limits have been lowered to 30 mph.

The affected roads are Bridge Avenue going across the Loveland Town Bridge, and the entire length of River Road.

The changes were made through an ordinance that was passed by the Borough Council at the Feb. 26 meeting.

The speed limit had been 35 mph on both roads.
