NJ Wall Collapses, Floods, 8K Lose Power As More Storms Possible
Lots of damage was left in New Jersey after heavy thunderstorms hit the region on Saturday, and more is expected.

More bad weather is expected after big storms hit New Jersey this weekend, flooding roads throughout the state, causing more than 8,000 to lose power and causing a wall to collapse near an apartment complex.
Cars were floating in what appeared to be an overflowing river in Wayne. Streets in small towns and cities were more than knee-deep in water. Lightning struck a house in Edison.

Patch identified the number of outages that are still active, and also provided the forecast for the rest of the weekend (see below). Here were the areas that had the worst impact:
Fairview

Dozens of people were displaced from their homes after a retaining wall collapsed in Fairview, according to News12. The wall smashed the backyards of three homes.
Heavy rain and a damaged drain pipe caused water to back up and flood the area, according to News12. The water then ended up moving to the Fairview Gardens apartment complex, where the retaining wall behind it collapsed.

Edison
An Edison home was sustained significant damage when it was struck by lightning Saturday morning, fire officials said.
The 5 Sarah Court home was struck around 7:20 a.m. during a heavy thunderstorm, Edison Fire Capt. Andy Toth said. The family left the home after smelling smoke upstairs, and all were uninjured. Read more here...
