Obituary: James Fritz

James Fritz, 72, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Friday, October 25, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Rahway, to the late Frank Hess Fritz and Catherine Brennan Fritz, he lived there and has resided in Point Pleasant for thirty-seven years.

Mr. Fritz was a retired mechanic and for forty-five years worked for Frystock Sales and Service, Colonia.

He liked fishing, golfing, cars, and restoring Jeeps.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Jerry Brennan and Kathleen Skillender.

Surviving are his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Dorothy "Ditty" Kaufmann Fritz; two daughters, Coleen Bruns and her husband Robert of Brick and Kathleen Fritz and her husband Ross Anderson of Point Pleasant; and his son, Robert James Fritz and his wife Michelle of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are his brothers, Edward and his wife Maureen, Dennis, and Roger Fritz; five grandchildren, Rebecca and Zachary Bruns, James and Ben Fritz, and Bryce Anderson; brother-in-law, Stephen "Buddy" Kaufmann; several nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Jada.

At 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 30 a Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach. Cremation will be held privately.
