Paving, Milling Schedule Updates Released In Point Pleasant Beach

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Point Pleasant Beach officials announced updates on the paving and concrete work that is being performed on Ocean and Arnold avenues.

Milling and paving of Ocean Avenue north of Arnold Avenue, which is begin done by the contractor hired by Ocean County, was anticipated to be about half-completed overnight Wednesday into Thursday, and completed overnight Thursday, May 18.

Residents are urged to make sure their vehicles are off the road so the work can be done without interruptions.

Concrete work that is being done along Ocean Avenue, between Arnold Avenue and Broadway, will resume on Friday and continue Monday and Tuesday, May 22 and 23. The concrete work will be done during the day.

"Please take note of the signs and notices posted along the roadways and ensure that all vehicles remain off Ocean Avenue and Arnold Avenue as directed," officials said.

Permanent pavement markings along the newly resurfaced part of Arnold Avenue were to start Wednesday night and be completed Thursday night, officials said.

On-street parking will be prohibited overnight for the section of the road where permanent pavement markings are to be painted.

"Please take note of the signs and notices posted along the roadways to avoid a conflict with the ongoing construction project," officials said.
