Point Pleasant Area Schools Rank For Drug, Alcohol-Related Cases
Local schools ranked among the districts in NJ with cases reported during the 2016-17 school year.

Point Pleasant Boro ranked 126th out of 311 school districts with substance abuse cases, with eight. Point Boro had an increase of seven cases. Point Pleasant Beach had a reduction of four cases.
Manasquan was ranked 211th, with three cases. Manasquan also had a reduction of three cases.

Asbury Park was ranked 99th, with 10. Asbury Park had an increase of three cases.
The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately. But they are required by law to report them.
