Point Pleasant Beach Hiring Special Officers For 2023 Summer Season
The police department is accepting applications for Class 1 officers for the summer season.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Looking for a way to begin getting law enforcement experience? The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department is looking to hire special officers for the 2023 summer season.
The officers, who are Class 1 officers, do not carry firearms and assist with a variety of assignments.
"It's a great chance for someone thinking about becoming a police officer to get their feet wet and can lead to advancement of their careers," Lt. Clinton Daniel said.

Applicants must be 18 or older; a U.S. citizen; read, write and speak English; have a high school diploma or equivalent; have a driver's license; good moral character, sound body and in good health; and "not convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or that would make a person unfit to perform the duties of office."
Applicants must pass a review of their resume/application, an oral interview, a psychological exam, a background investigation, medical screening and urinalysis screening.
