Point Pleasant Beach ranked 44th out of 50 top sports programs, according to Niche.com

POINT PLEASANT, NJ - Sports programs at Point Pleasant Beach High School made the top 50 list in New Jersey, according to a report on nj.com
The sports programs were rated by Niche, a website that based the rankings on data from the U.S. Department of Education and questionnaire reviews from students and parents across the state.
Point Pleasant Beach was ranked number 44 out of the 50 top high schools in New Jersey. Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin was ranked number 2. Each district received an "A" grade in the rankings.

No other high schools in Ocean County made the list, according to the report.
Although the rankings dealt solely with sport programs, nj.com included each school's overall school grade, which includes academics, teachers, diversity and more.

Input from parents and students, total high school enrollment, the number of sports offered and boys and girls participation in sports were included in the rankings
