Point Pleasant Beach Officers Honored For DWI Enforcement Efforts

Police officers and other first responders were honored at the Salute to Heroes Night at the Jersey Shore BlueClaws game.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Two Point Pleasant Beach police officers were honored Friday for their efforts to get drivers who are impaired or intoxicated off the roads.

Officer Brianna Marchetti and Officer Michael Allegretta were among the officers and first responders who were honored during the Jersey Shore BlueClaws' Salute to Heroes Night.

Marchetti was recognized for being nominated for the Kimberly Smith Ames Award for 2021, which noted her hard work, dedication, and efforts in combating driving while intoxicated in Ocean County.

Allegretta was also recognized for being nominated for the Kimberly Smith Ames Award for 2021. He received the Officer Jason Marles #271 Award for his efforts in combating driving while intoxicated; the award honors fallen Officer Jason Marles of the Ocean Gate Police Department, who was killed by a drunken driver on Thanksgiving Day 2010.

The two officers were honored on the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department's Facebook page.
