Point Pleasant Beach School Board Sets 2023 Meetings

A new member was sworn in on the board and the meeting dates were set.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Board of Education approved its meeting schedule for 2023 at the Jan. 3 reorganization meeting.

Two members were sworn in: Sherry Finn, who won election to her second term on the school board, and Christine Grier, who was elected for the first time. The seats are three-year terms.

Finn also was chosen to serve as board president for the second year in a row, with James Ireland chosen to serve as vice president.

The school board has five members representing Point Pleasant Beach: Finn, Ireland, Grier, Elizabeth Boyle and Christopher Mullins. Steve Shohfi represents Lavallette on the board.

The school board meetings are held in the media center at the G. Harold Antrim Elementary School on Niblick Street, with the public portion of the meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

The meeting dates for 2023 are as follows:

The 2024 reorganization meeting is set for Jan. 2, 2024.
