Point Pleasant Boro police say they have arrested a man for allegedly making terroristic threats.
The suspect was identified as Nicholas Romano, 41, of Naples, Fla. The ongoing investigation revealed that after the suspect made the threats, he purchased a plane ticket and boarded a late night flight from Florida to New Jersey, police said.
Based on the extensive investigation conducted by the patrol division and the detective bureau, a warrant for terrorist threats was issued for Romano’s arrest, police said.

Romano was arrested on Friday at 5:17 p.m. by the Secaucus Police Department. Point Pleasant officers then took Romano into custody and transported him to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing, police said.
The probe began Thursday, when the Point Pleasant Boro Police Department investigated a report from a resident who claimed that their life was threatened by a relative. The victim obtained a temporary restraining order against the suspect, police said.
