Point Pleasant Boro Gas Attendant Cheats Customer On Fuel: Police

A 25-year-old Point Pleaant Boro gas attendant was charged this week with shortchanging a customer, police said.

Palvinder Singh of Point Pleasant was charged with theft-by-deception, a disorderly persons offense, police said.

The incident happened on Mother's Day when Officer Siveen Greenan responded to the Conoco gas station at 2801 Route 88, police said.

Greenan was responding to a report of a gas station attendant cheating somebody out of their money, police said. The attendant did not provide the correct amount of fuel and change, police said.

Singh was released on a special form of complaint summons pending court.
