The trailer left Thursday night to help those in need in North Carolina.
The Point Pleasant Boro and Beachwood First Aid Squad headed to Newport, N.C. with several thousand pounds worth of food blankets and another animal supplies for the Carteret County Humane Society.
All this was made possible through a collaborative effort between Point Boro First Aid and Beachwood First Aid, according to Peggy Doyle.

The Carteret County Humane Society and Animal Shelter was severely affected by Hurricane Florence. The shelter is ran by a Point Pleasant native, according to the squad.

The shelter is in need of supplies to help keep the shelter running as well as accommodate their animals. The squad has been designated as the northern drop-off point for these supplies.
There were bins located outside the building at 1200 Beaver Dam Road. Below is a list of what the shelter needs.
"We are praying for those affected by Hurricane Florence and hope those affected have a quick and speedy recovery to normalcy," the squad says.
