Point Pleasant Community Watch Seeks Toys, Gloves, Hats For Needy

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Point Pleasant Police Department's Community Watch is collecting toys, hats, gloves and other items for women and children for the holidays.

The annual toy drive by the Community Watch program aims to benefit lots of children in need. In addition, the group is collecting items for women at Dottie's House, a local program that helps women and children escaping domestic violence build new lives.

The Community Watch is seeking the following:

• New, unwrapped toys for children of varying ages
• New hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for women, boys and girls
• New bath, body wash, body lotion, handwash and creams for women.

Donations are needed no later than Dec. 18 and should be dropped off at the police department, 2233 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant.
