Point Pleasant Man Pleads Guilty To Vehicular Homicide
80-year-old Jane C. Eager died when Robert P. Cook's car hit her head-on, authorities say.

A Mossbank Road man admitted in Superior Court recently that he had taken Oxycodone and Xanax before his Honda Accord plowed into an an 80-year-old Brick Township woman’s BMW and killed her, according to app.com.
Robert P. Cook Jr., 31, pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide before Ocean County Superior Court Judge James M. Blaney on Monday.
Cook said he was under the influence of both drugs which were prescribed to him for injuries in a previous accident five years ago.

He told Blaney he had no recollection of the accident, which happened when his car veered into oncoming traffic and slammed into Eager’s BMW. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
