Sabosik Wins Re-Election As Point Pleasant Mayor: Unofficial Results

NEW JERSEY — Robert Sabosik appears to have won a third term as mayor of Point Pleasant, according to unofficial results from the 2022 election.

With all 16 districts reporting, Sabosik was leading his challenger, Councilman William Borowsky, 4,868 to 2,782. Borowsky ran as an independent after years as a Republican.

Results are not official until certified by the Ocean County Clerk.

Sabosik has touted his efforts to improve the business environment, and work to make the borough administration work more effectively for residents.

Borowsky says the borough is neglecting its sewerage infrastructure and should improve recreational opportunities without pouring millions into a recreation center.

The Point Pleasant Borough Council race for two seats is uncontested. Republicans Joseph Furmato Jr. and Charlene Archer are seeking re-election.
