Point Pleasant School Board Sets Budget Workshop
Learn what is included in the district's proposed $53 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Point Pleasant residents and parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and get information about the 2022-23 school budget at the Board of Education's budget workshop meeting set for April 11.
The district submitted its tentative budget to the Ocean County Executive Superintendent of Schools earlier this month.
The proposed budget of $53,143,135 includes a property tax levy of $40,434,496, according to the district's budget resolution.

The school district also is planning to use $800,000 from its capital reserve funds for new heating and air conditioning in classrooms at Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School and Ocean Road Elementary School.
The budget resolution also includes a cap of $68,000 on travel and related expenses for the district.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Ocean Road Elementary School.
