Point Pleasant Teen Seriously Injured In Brick Crash: Police
Kristen Petrolino, 18, was hurt in a Jack Martin Boulevard crash about 90 minutes after a serious crash closed Routes 70 and 88, police said

BRICK, NJ — Two Point Pleasant residents were seriously injured in crashes Saturday, including one that shut down the intersection of Routes 70 and 88 for more than two hours, Brick police said.
Kristen Petrolino, 18, of Point Pleasant, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with chest and internal injuries following a crash on Jack Martin Boulevard, Brick Patrolman Scott Dierking said. Luke Albrink, 38, of Point Pleasant, who was involved in the crash at Routes 70 and 88, was taken to Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with chest pain, Dierking said.
Dierking said the crash on Jack Martin Boulevard happened about 7:45 a.m. Petrolino, who was driving a silver 2004 Honda Civic, pulled out of the parking lot of the medical offices at 457 Jack Martin Boulevard into the path of a blue 2002 Ford F350 pickup truck driven by Brad Hagaman, 52, of Brick, Dierking said. Petrolino was trying to turn left at the time, and Hagaman could not stop in time, he said.

Petrolino's car came to a stop in front of 450 Jack Martin Boulevard, Dierking said. Hagaman's pickup went into the parking lot at 450 Jack Martin Boulevard where it hit a fence and trees before coming to a stop, Dierking said.
Petrolino had to be extricated from her car by the Laurelton Fire Company and she was treated by Brick Township Police EMS and MONOC paramedics before she was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, he said.

Hagaman suffered cuts and bruises and taken to Ocean Medical Center for treatment. Hagaman's passenger, Amanda Dapice, 22, of Point Pleasant, was not injured, Dierking said.
In the crash at Routes 70 and 88, which happened about 6:15 a.m., Dierking said Albrink, who was driving a silver 2017 Lexus ES350, had a green light on Route 88, had pulled into the intersection to turn left on Route 70. As Albrink did so, his car was hit by a gray 2016 Nissan Frontier pickup truck driven by Joseph Dilauri, 71, of Toms River, Dierking said.
Dilauri, who was headed east on Route 70, failed to stop for the red light and hit the Lexus. The force of the impact sent the pickup truck airborne and it rolled several times before coming to a stop on its roof in the westbound lanes of Route 70, Dierking said. Albrink's car came to rest in the middle of the intersection, he said.
Dilauri was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with head injuries, he said.
Dierking said Brick police and Brick Township Police EMS along with MONOC paramedics and the Laurelton Fire Company responded, along with the Vehicular Homicide Unit of the Ocean County Prosector's office.
Patrolman Jay Lampiasi and Dierking investigated the crashes and Detective Brian Lash of the department's ID unit documented the scenes.
The state Department of Transportation assisted with traffic diversion at the Route 70 crash, he said.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed either crash is asked to call the Traffic Safety Unit at 732-262-1140.
