Point Pleasant Thanksgiving Schedule: Trash, Recycling, Office Hours

See the updated leaf collection schedule as well as how the holiday affects your trash pick-up.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Thanksgiving week brings changes to borough schedules for town offices and public works. Here's what to know in Point Pleasant.

All Point Pleasant Borough offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday.

Offices will re-open on Monday, Nov. 27. Residents who need immediate assistance can call the non-emergency number of the Police Department at 732-892-0060.

The garbage and recycling collection is affected. You can whether your collection is changed through the Recycle Coach app on the Public Works page on the borough website.

Be sure your leaves are out at the curb prior to the first day of collection in your area. Leaves cannot be put out more than 7 days in advance of your pick up. Leaves may not be placed in the curbline any closer than 10 feet from a storm drain inlet. Violators risk a fine.

Ornamental grass in no longer accepted with leaves or brush. It must be bagged or put into cans and put out with household trash.

Leaves are accepted at our Arthur Avenue Recycling Center year-round. For more information, call the Department of Public Works at 732-892-1287.
