Rev. James L. Hofacker Of Point Pleasant Beach Dies At 65
Memorial service for retired United Methodist pastor will be held on March 26.

Rev. James L. Hofacker of Point Pleasant Beach, age 65, died at his home on Tuesday.
James was a retired United Methodist pastor who served parishes in Monmouth, Mercer, and Ocean Counties.
He is survived by his beloved family including two sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Annemarie and Mark, two grandchildren, Andrew and Meghan; sister, Barb Bengtson and her husband Tom, nephews and niece, Bradley, Scott, Thomas and Jeanne. Also, aunt, Jean Hofacker, and cousins, Joan, Eugene, George, Fritz, Dena, and Delaney. He enjoyed a large circle of diverse and devoted friends and was especially proud of his "Point Pleasant Beach family."
Jim enjoyed all that the Jersey shore offered including boating, fishing, and clamming. He jokingly referred to the shore as paradise. Jim served two terms as a member of the Stafford Township Council and was an active member of the Point Pleasant Beach First Aid and Emergency Squad.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26 at the the Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 South Main St., Pennington, NJ. Interment of cremains will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the mission fund of the Pennington United Methodist Church.
