Robbie Cano to get $24,000,000 a year for the Mariners.

Robbie Cano is reportedly under contract with the Seattle Mariners for $24 million a year for 10 years. Some people are angry because he turned his back on the Yankees and his fans for the "Almighty Dollar." ...................
I'm not a big sports fan so I really don't care whether he plays for the Yanks, Mets or Tokyo Giants... What has struck me is exactly how much a baseball player can demand these days, compared to those of us in the real world...
$24,000,000 for a top salaried ball player.  April to October if lucky, 5 months off.
$45,000 for an EMT, Firefighter, year round,  a few weeks vacation...........
$60,000 for police year round, a few weeks vacation...........................
$40,000 for teacher, summers off, except you need a second job to survive. These ESSENTIAL workers earn one to three (1-3%) percent of what a Robbie Cano earns............
I know it's apples and oranges, ball players are entertainers, blah, blah, blah....It bothers me.
