Route 88 Bridge Maintenance Disrupting Traffic In Point Pleasant

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Point Pleasant Police Department is recommending that drivers avoid the area of the Route 88 bridge on Friday due to maintenance that is causing traffic disruptions.

Police said maintenance by the state Department of Transportation, which will be going on until about 1 p.m., will require the bridge to be in the open position for longer than normal opening times.

They urged drivers to plan an alternate route.
