School Police Officer Sought In Point Pleasant
The Point Pleasant Police Department is a hiring Class III officer who will work in the Point Pleasant Borough schools.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Point Pleasant Police Department is hiring a Class III police officer to work in the Point Pleasant Borough schools.
Applications can be picked up at police dispatch at the police department, 2233 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant.
The position is part-time and includes security duties at one of the schools, parking enforcement on school property, and "various other duties and assignments at a designated school as assigned" by the police chief.

The position is paid per diem for the 7.5-hour school days, with 180 school days per year, paid at $30 per hour with all uniforms and equipment supplied.
Applicants must be a retired New Jersey police officer who is under age 65 and has served as a "duly qualified PTC-certified full-time officer.

Applicants must live in New Jersey and provide a letter of good standing from the police chief of the agency they retired from including dates of employment, and they cannot have a break of service of more than three years.
The Point Pleasant Police Department prohibits visible tattoos on the face, head, scalp, neck and below the elbows. Visible tattoos or similar markings that are visible when wearing short sleeves are prohibited and must be covered with a department-approved cover up.
