Sharon Simmons Of Point Pleasant Dies At 61
Visitation slated for Tuesday, memorial service on Wednesday.

Sharon Simmons, 61, of Point Pleasant,formerly of Summit, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on April 3, 2015.
Sharon was born in Georgia and raised in Wanamassa, NJ. She resided in Summit for many years before retiring to Point Pleasant. She was a managing director and member of the Executive Committee for Pershing, a BNY Mellon company. Prior to joining Pershing, she worked at Credit Suisse First Boston and Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking Group. She was highly regarded by her colleagues, and helped many young people establish a career in the financial industry.
Sharon is survived by her son, Terence Praet of Portland, Oregon; her significant other, Henry Manger; her sisters, Patricia Clayton and Colleen Roethe; her aunt, Mary (Mae) Weafer; and her cousin, Kathleen Tetley. Sharon is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends who treasured her love for life, strength and generosity.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave, Summit.
