Spring Lake School of Dance to Support Cancer Concern Center at December 5 Performances

Spring Lake School of Dance will donate proceeds from its annual Christmas performance to the Cancer Concern Center of Point Pleasant Beach

On Saturday, December 5, at noon and 4:30 p.m., Spring Lake School of Dance will present its annual production of The Nutcracker and Everything Christmas. The two performances at Point Pleasant Borough High School will showcase classic choreography from the Nutcracker and other holiday favorites such as Ragdolls and Wooden Soldiers.

Contact the Cancer Concern Center to purchase a ticket to The Nutcracker and Everything Christmas for $20. Spring Lake School of Dance will donate $10 from these tickets to the Cancer Concern Center.

According to Heather Keefe, a Board Member for the Cancer Concern Center, proceeds from the Spring Lake School of Dance fundraiser will support local cancer survivors in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

For nearly 20 years, in a warm and welcoming setting, the Cancer Concern Center has offered support groups, nutritional counseling, yoga classes, new wigs, and day-to-day emotional assistance in Point Pleasant Beach. The small non-profit is run by volunteers and does not charge any mandatory fees for its programs.

Spring Lake School of Dance was established in 1986 by Patricia Tully-Osborn, who performed with the Rockettes for more than 15 years. The school offers dance classes, for preschoolers to adults, in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop. The teachers at Spring Lake School of Dance have studied dance at the collegiate level and attained advanced dance certifications. Ballet classes adhere to the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum.
