Thomas R. DeCarlo Jr., Former Mantoloking Police Officer, Dies At 78
Services for Korean War veteran, Point Pleasant resident will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.

Thomas R. DeCarlo, Jr., age 78, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved to Point Pleasant in 1965. He was a sergeant with the Mantoloking Police Department for 25 years, retiring in 1990. Mr. DeCarlo was a parishioner of St. Martha’s R.C. Church in Point Pleasant, and a member of PBA Local #106. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife Madeline (Sasso) DeCarlo, his son Thomas P. DeCarlo and his wife Amy of Brick, his daughter Lisa DeCarlo of Brick, his sister Marilyn Waldron of Point Pleasant Beach, and his grandson Andrew DeCarlo. Visiting hours are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A funeral mass will be offered at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Martha’s R.C.
