Traffic Safety Crackdown In Point Pleasant Beach Coming As School Starts
With the return of students and adults going to and from school, Point Pleasant Beach police will be reminding motorists to drive safely.
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Drivers should expect to see strict enforcement of traffic laws in Point Pleasant Beach over the next few weeks as part of the police department's Back to School Safety Initiative.
High visibility enforcement will be conducted in school zones around the borough to remind motorists that school is back in session and that they need to pay attention to their driving, the police department said.
"In conjunction with our Safe Biking Initiative, we will take this proactive approach to remind motorists that the first days of school are here and to drive with care within our school zones," the police department said.

In addition traffic enforcement, the police department will have mobile radar units in use in the school zones.
Once school begins, there will be patrol officers present at the start of the school day and at dismissal, along with daily security checks of the schools, the police department said.
