Two Who Fled Parkway Crash Apprehended At Jenkinsons

Accident happened on Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls, nearby schools end up on lockdown.

Sharp-eyed Point Pleasant Beach bicycle officers took two man wanted in connection with an accident on the Garden State Parkway into custody Thursday without incident on Jenkinsons boardwalk, according to the app.com.

The two-vehicle crash happened in the parkway’s southbound lanes at 10:37 a.m. The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment. The other men fled the scene.

State police and Tinton Falls police issued alerts for the two men. They eventually learned the men were headed to Jenkinsons Pavilion.

Point Beach officers Michael Kimble and Joseph Curry spotted the two men walking on Ocean Avenue. They were taken into custody at the corner of Ocean and Trenton avenues.
