Valhallas Pirates Coming To Point Pleasant On Aug. 3

Feel like doing a little swashbuckling? Walking the plank? Learning how to do a decent "AARGH?"
Then come to Riverfront Park at 6:30 p.m. in Point Pleasant on Aug. 3 with a free celebration of pirate life, sponsored by the Point Pleasant Recreation Commission and ASAP blinds.
The stars of the event are the Valhallas Pirates, who will present an interactive, entertaining and educational program. There will also be treats, free refreshments from Betty's Ice, a bike and gift basket raffles.

Come and meet Captain Charles Black and his crew and learn about the Golden Age of Piracy - how they dressed, spoke, what skills, tools and weapons they used during the years 1670-1730.
Listen to a pirate story, join in on the sing-a-longs and pirate swordplay.

The group does have a mission - to teach the difference between pirates, privateers and sailors and their impact on history, according to the website.
