Video Shows N.J. Police Chase Ending In Fiery Crash In Jersey City

A video captured a police chase overnight in New Jersey ending in a fiery crash, according to reports.

Jersey City resident Tom Evans shared the video with News 12 that shows end of the pursuit, which happened on Tonnelle Avenue in Jersey City. The suspects and police firing shots at each other.

"There was two cop cars that came down the side street heading towards routes 1 and 9, and they came out into the middle of the road and created a little barricade. As that barricade was being created, there was a loud boom right next to the Econo Lodge. There were two cars that smashed into one another and into a telephone pole as well, went up in flames,” he told News12.

There was no immediate word on any injuries. We'll have more information as it comes in.
