What's Kiwanis?
Kiwanis International is a popular worldwide community service organization that exists to help children around the world. It is the parent organization to Key Club, which is the high school branch of the organization and the largest high school community service club in the world. Under the Kiwanis umbrella, you'll also find Circle K (for college students), Builder's Club (for middle school students) and K-Kids (for elementary school students). Kiwanis also includes Aktion clubs, which are for adults with special needs. Each branch is focused on community service--especially that helps kids.

In short, Kiwanis is a community service organization that aims to help children. They help children in need, but also younger people in their youth programs.

Family-Friendly Community Service

Typically, Kiwanis clubs are centered on members, but I want this one to be different. I believe in teaching our kids how to help others from a young age. So we'll have some projects where kids can help out. And because you probably can't attend meetings without your kids, you're more than welcome to bring them to our Saturday morning meetings.

Kiwanis is a dues-paid membership, but you don't have to pay dues to help out or attend a meeting. Dues-paid members get added benefit of having insurance coverage, which gives you great peace of mind--especially if you bring a family member or child to an event. Dues also cover other membership benefits, including a monthly magazine.
