POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The organizers of the Manasquan Inlet Tug-Of-War are seeking additional volunteers for the event, which is set for Sunday.

The tug-of-war was originally scheduled for Oct. 1, but organizers were forced to postpone it to Oct. 9 because of the anticipated effects of the remnants of Hurricane Ian.

"We cannot make this happen without our volunteers and unfortunately due to the date change, we have lost a lot of the amazing people we were relying on to help make the day run smoothly," the Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee said in a post on Facebook.
