Volunteers Sought For Point Pleasant Emergency Response Team

The Office of Emergency Management is looking for people who want to help on the Community Emergency Response Team.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Have you wanted to help your neighbors during an emergency? Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity?

The Point Pleasant Office of Emergency Management and the Point Pleasant Borough Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) are looking for people to join.

The CERT team is a group of dedicated volunteers who assist a town's first responders in emergencies and community disasters.

CERT welcomes individuals without prior experience, providing free training and equipment. Training includes basic response skills needed for fire safety, light search and rescue, community disaster support, disaster medical operations, and traffic control.
