Warrant For Man Who Scammed $120K In Point Pleasant, Elsewhere
A warrant has been issued for a 43-year-old man associated with four different companies.

A warrant has been issued for a 43-year-old man associated with four different companies who scammed $120,000 from elderly residents, according to Point Pleasant Boro police.
An arrest warrant was issued for Nicholas Stanko Jr., 43, of Manchester on May 14 for theft by deception and conspiracy. Stanko was associated with at least 4 different paving companies, including Done Right Paving, Jimmy the Paver, All State Paving & Masonry and Frankie’s Paving, police said.
The warrant was issued as the Point Pleasant Boro Police Department has been conducting an ongoing investigation into paving companies who have taken advantage of elderly residents by performing unnecessary work in excess of $120,000.

This is a continuing investigation as police identify other suspects involved in this case and attempt to identify other victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Scalabrini at 732-892-0060.
"The Point Pleasant Police Department would like to remind residents that while most contractors are honest, hardworking professionals, a few bad apples can spoil it for everyone. These jobs typically will start with a small project that is completed followed by numerous return visits for various other jobs that are either unnecessary or not completed," the department said.
