WATCH: Christie: 'If You're Getting High In Colorado, Enjoy It...'
...because the governor-turned-presidential candidate will make sure to enforce federal laws that ban marijuana if elected president.

Gov. Chris Christie had a sharp warning this week for states like Colorado that have voted to legalize marijuana:
“If you’re getting high in Colorado today, enjoy it ‘til January 2017, because I will enforce the federal laws against marijuana as president of the United States,” Christie said during a town hall meeting in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

Christie, a former U.S. attorney, reiterated his opposition to legalizing marijuana for recreational and medical use, although he did note that he’s forced to uphold a state medical marijuana law passed just before his swearing-in in 2010.
He especially doesn’t like how the federal government will not enforce laws that supersede state laws, saying it’s created an atmosphere of “lawlessness.”

“We have a federal law against it (marijuana) so get Congress to change the law,” he said.
