Ocean Avenue Water Main Work Nearly Finished, Paving Planned In Point Pleasant Beach
If you have a home in the area of the new main, Point Pleasant Beach officials are urging you to make sure your water service is working.
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — If you have a home on Ocean Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach officials are urging you to check and make sure your water is running.
A project to replace the water main on Ocean Avenue "has been substantially completed," officials said, with the new water main and hundreds of service connections installed.
With the water main in place, Ocean County officials are set to pave Ocean Avenue before Memorial Day weekend to smooth the road out again.

Because of that planned paving, borough officials want to be certain there are no avoidable reasons to have to dig into the new pavement once the county's paving is completed.
"It is imperative that all residents with water connections on Ocean Avenue please confirm that their home currently has running water at their earliest convenience," borough officials said. "If you do not currently reside at this residence, please make arrangements to have the home checked for running water."

If your water is not running, call the Water Department at 732-892-7755 or email ibrown@pointbeach.org to get the issue corrected, officials said.
