Wayne I. Smith Of Point Pleasant Beach Dies At 46

Wayne I. Smith, 46, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at home.

Wayne was born in Cherry Hill, NJ and was a former resident of Tinton Falls. He is a 1993 graduate of Stockton University, where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked as a senior insurance claims adjuster for several insurance companies throughout his career.

He was a coach with the Tinton Falls Little League and was also a recreation coach.He is predeceased by his mother Sharon Vaughn and brother Jonathan Vaughn. He is survived by his beloved children; Samantha and Evan Smith, his father Wayne Smith and stepmother Patricia, his former wife Wendy Syp Smith, three brothers; Justin Smith and his wife Mary, Philip Vaughn and Jessie Vaughn, a step-sister; Shannon Burke and her husband Pete, a step-brother; Shawn Barnhart and his wife Emily.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 and 8:30 a.m to 9 a.m on Saturday August 6, 2016 with a 9 a.m. service at the Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls. Interment to follow at Monument Cemetery, Beverly, NJ.
