Who Has The Best Ice Cream in New Jersey? Foursquare Says Hoffmans In Point Pleasant Beach
Popular Ocean County ice cream store came in at No. 32 in the United States

So if you're wondering where to go for stellar ice cream in the torrid July heat, you won't have to think too long.
Head over to Hoffman's on Richmond Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. The ice cream store was recently named No. 1 in New Jersey and No. 32 in the United States, based on user ratings compiled by Foursquare.
The shop started as one of the first Carvel stores in New Jersey. The name changed to Hoffman's back in 1976, when the Carvel franchise expired, according to the Hoffman's Facebook page.

Since then, Hoffman's opened other stores in Little Silver, Spring Lake Heights and Long Branch over the years.
"All of our products are homemade at our Point Pleasant Beach location," the page states. "We use only the best ingredients from around the country for your palate’s enjoyment."
