2 Busted After Point Pleasant Beach Strong-Armed Robbery (UPDATE)

Two suspects were arrested after a strong-armed robbery was reported in Point Pleasant Beach on Wednesday evening, authorities said.

The robbery took place at Nobles Smoke Shop on Arnold Avenue 6:26 p.m., authorities said. Two unidentified suspects, both from Brick, were charged, police said.

A store employee suffered minor injuries that did not require further medical attention.

The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department would like to thank local residents and business owners for their assistance in the investigation, as well as the Brick Township Police Department.

Authorities have defined "strong-armed" as a robbery that could involve physical behavior and weapons used in the commission of the offense. It also typically involves a threat to use force.

A white male suspect was wanted by police. He was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts and sunglasses.

A woman was also wanted by police. She was described as wearing a purple shirt, jeans pants and she stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall.

They both fled the scene in 2009 Honda with the license plate V95-KWX.
