Woman Goes Missing During Overnight Swim In Point Pleasant
Breaking: A 24-year-old woman who went in the water at 2 a.m. in Point Pleasant has gone missing. The Coast Guard is searching for her.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Coast Guard is currently searching for a swimmer who went missing in Point Pleasant overnight. A 24-year-old woman went in the water at 2 a.m. at Point Pleasant Beach and has not yet been found.
According to ABC7, the woman went in the water with a friend. Both were not wearing clothes, that report said. Their identities were not released.
Point Pleasant Beach police, the Coast Guard, New Jersey State Marine Police, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company, fire companies from Bay Head and Mantoloking, and dive teams from Brick, Brielle and Point Pleasant Beach are assisting in the search, NBC4 reported.

Authorities have said there's a high risk of rip currents until 8 p.m. Sunday. "A high risk of rip currents means dangerous and life-threatening conditions exist for all people entering the surf," the NWS said. "People visiting the beaches should stay out of the water."
