Woman Threatened Point Pleasant Boro Businessman With 'Gun:' Cops

The woman had threatened harm against the Point Pleasant man with what she said was a "gun," police said.

A woman has been arrested after threatening a Point Pleasant Boro business owner with what she said was a "gun," police announced Monday.

Lindsey Gorman, 37, of Margate faces gun and terroristic threat charges after threatening an 81-year-old Point Pleasant man at an undisclosed busines, police said.

The incident happened on Thursday when officers responded to an Arnold Avenue business after getting a report of an "unwanted" person on the premises, police said. The suspect was said to be in possession of a loaded hand gun.

The woman had threatened harm against the business owner with a "gun," police said. The victim was not injured during the course of the robbery, police said.

An investigation conducted by Officer Jesse Waterson did not disclose an actual handgun.

Waterson then arrested Gorman, who was charged with second degree robbery, third-degree terroristic threats, fourth-degree theft, disorderly person, defiant trespass, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gorman was transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
