MERCER COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey's primary elections are set for June 7. And voters in Mercer County will be heading to the polling stations to cast their ballots.

New Jersey has a closed primary system, which means you must be a member of a particular party to vote in that party's primary. Voters who are registered but unaffiliated with any party can vote in the primary by declaring a party affiliation at the polls.

The deadline to register to be eligible to vote in the primary is May 17. Voters can cast a ballot in New Jersey's primaries: vote-by-mail, in-person early voting and in-person voting on Primary Election day.
