3-Car Accident Results In Injuries In Princeton: Police

The accident took place on Great Road.

Princeton, NJ -- Two men were injured in a three-car accident on Great Road in Princeton Monday afternoon, police said.

Kevin Kerrod, 25, of Belle Mead, was driving a 2010 Volvo S40 north on Great Road at about 1:05 p.m. when he crossed the center lines and hit a 1999 Honda CRV being driven by 68-year-old James Kilgore, of Princeton. Kilgore was driving south, according to police.

The Volvo continued north and then struck a 2013 Nissan Frontier being driven by 62-year-old Richard Lawton, of Yardley, Pa., head-on.

Lawton sustained an injury to his lower leg and chest and was transported to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton by Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad.

Kerrod complained of pain to his abdomen and refused medical transport.

Kilgore did not report any injuries.

The Volvo S40 and the Nissan Frontier sustained extensive front end damage and airbag deployment. Both cars were towed by Stewart’s Towing.

The Honda CRV sustained driver’s side damage and was able to be driven from the scene.

Charges had yet to be filed in the case, which remains under investigation.
