3 Men, 1 Woman Arrested For Shooting At Hamilton Cop: NJ Police

HAMILTON, NJ — Three men and one woman have been arrested after a Hamilton Township Police Officer was shot at while undercover in Trenton early Wednesday, New Jersey State Police said.

The officer was working with the New Jersey State Police Crime Suppression Central Unit Task Force and driving an unmarked task force vehicle when the shooting occurred, police said.

At around 2:15 p.m. the officer was following a vehicle into the area of the Oakland Park Apartments on Coolidge Avenue in Trenton when he was fired upon from inside the vehicle, NJSP said.

The car was hit, but the officer was not injured, police said.

The vehicle the officer was following stopped and then multiple people ran out. Three men and one women were arrested and are in State Police custody. Several weapons were also found, police said.

New Jersey State Police said this is an active investigation, and there is no additional information available.
