'Act Responsibly' During Holiday Season, Says Princeton Mayor
Princeton Mayor Liz Lampert asked community members to "act responsibly" and not put themselves at risk during the Holidays.
PRINCETON, NJ – On Friday, Princeton Health department reported 39 new COVID-19 cases over the past week and 62 cases over a two-week period.
Mayor Liz Lampert said that indoor gatherings present a high risk for transmission of the virus. “Our health department and hospitals are under dual pressure of handling increase in cases as well as preparing to distribute the vaccine,” Lampert said in an email message to the community.
Princeton health Officer Jeff Grosser said that the biweekly and monthly numbers, which are due to release next week, will depict a clear of how bad December has been.

Lampert asked community members to “act responsibly,” as the Holidays, cold weather and COVID fatigue may tempt many families to get together. “But you’re putting yourself, your loved ones and our health care system at risk,” she said.
