5 Princeton Schools Receive Funding For Sustainability Projects

All five Princetons schools each received $2,000 grants to fund a its Green Team Capacity Building.

PRINCETON, NJ — Five Princeton schools were among 47 in New Jersey to be selected to receive Sustainable Jersey for Schools grants funded by the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA).

All five Princetons schools — including John Witherspoon Middle, Johnson Park, Littlebrook Elementary, Princeton High and Riverside Elementary — each received $2,000 grants to fund a its Green Team Capacity Building.

"The Princeton Public Schools are committed to wellness — for our people and our planet. It is an honor to be selected for funding by Sustainable Jersey for Schools and their partners for our continued effort in cultivating sustainable practices in our schools. These funds, together with the hard work and dedication of our community members and staff, make it possible to achieve environmentally responsible schools and a sustainable future for our children," Steve Cochrane, Superintendent, Princeton Public Schools stated.
