5 Vehicle Burglaries Reported Near Parks In Mercer County: Police

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Four vehicles were burglarized and items stolen from inside the cars near a community park in West Windsor, according to police blotter released Thursday.

The incident occurred on July 24 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Police were called to the parking lot of the WaterWorks located in Community Park on a report of a vehicle burglary.

During investigation, three more vehicle burglaries were found to have occurred, police said. All four vehicles had their windows smashed to gain entry. Purses and Coach backpack were stolen from inside, police said.

Another vehicle burglary occurred at Mercer County Park, during the same timeframe and method of operation, where the vehicle’s window was smashed and a purse stolen from inside police said.

No charges have been brought yet.
